Facebook Group OWOM and Ocala Outreach raises more than $560 for mother in need with 7-Year-Old Daughter!

Karen Butler brought us a situation on the Facebook Group “Ocala’s Word of Mouth” which was started by one of our very own board members, Kelli Hart. The situations was: “I know someone that is in need to find a place to stay with her daughter, tomorrow she will be on the streets and her daughters 7th birthday is 2 days away. She had a job but doesn’t make a lot of money and doesn’t have any saved up. Any ideas our suggestions will be appreciate”

We attempted to get the entire social circle to start giving $5 so we can generate the donations we need to help this person. We also leveraged some of the donations we have already received from a special donation last week.

We now have our 501c3 IRS Status!

It’s official, the Ocala Outreach Foundation Inc. is now a 501c3 charity! Our letter from the IRS states: “We are pleased to inform you that upon review of your application for tax exemption status we have determined that you exempt from Federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to you are deductible under section 170 of the Code.

Ocala Outreach Board Members Added

We are in the process of adding all the board members. The paperwork gets submitted in the next few days! I personally would like to say thank you to all of our board members for their time in supporting Ocala Outreach Foundation, Inc. This process certainly isn’t easy and I truly appreciate the giving nature…
