Facebook Group OWOM and Ocala Outreach raises more than $560 for mother in need with 7-Year-Old Daughter!
Karen Butler brought us a situation on the Facebook Group “Ocala’s Word of Mouth” which was started by one of our very own board members, Kelli Hart. The situations was: “I know someone that is in need to find a place to stay with her daughter, tomorrow she will be on the streets and her daughters 7th birthday is 2 days away. She had a job but doesn’t make a lot of money and doesn’t have any saved up. Any ideas our suggestions will be appreciate”
We attempted to get the entire social circle to start giving $5 so we can generate the donations we need to help this person. We also leveraged some of the donations we have already received from a special donation last week.Details

Our letter from the IRS states: “We are pleased to inform you that upon review of your application for tax exemption status we have determined that you exempt from Federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to you are deductible under section 170 of the Code.Details
We offer several different ways to give. If you wish to only give to the listed Outreach Projects at Ocala Outreach crowdfunding website for our Outreach Projects, then all you have to do is select a family or Outreach Project, donate, and all the proceeds go to that particular family.Details
We have almost all of the paperwork filled out and are preparing to send the information to the IRS and hopefully receive our 501c3 status.
