Kids Kicking Cancer assists Marion County residents who have children battling cancer. Most of our children are treated at Shands hospital in Gainesville, Florida. Dan Clark, the chairman of Kids Kicking Cancer, is in constant contact with Shands to help legitimate families in need. Kids Kicking Cancer pays for rent/mortgages, utilities, gas cards and food cards. This program has spent more than $25,000 over the last few years assisting families. During Thanksgiving and Christmas, the Kids Kicking Cancer program assists in getting presents for the families along with meals.
